CLEAR SCOPE. CONFIDENT DECISIONS.

A quote comparison template
with room for the unknowns.

An original free supplier quote comparison template with units, scope, unknown costs and source evidence.

Use this original tab-separated template to copy priced lines into QuoteCheck. No email is required. Each supplier’s units and stated amounts remain separate from later scope checks.

QuoteCheck TSV columns vs workspace features

The standard QuoteCheck TSV format provides 6 item columns (description, quantity, unit, unit_price, line_total, and sku), while the Traditional Chinese template provides 7 columns (adding specifications). QuoteCheck does not force quote-wide expenses into item rows.

Important distinction: Scope indicators, fee states (included, separately quoted, excluded, pending, unspecified), source text evidence clips, and commercial terms (lead time, validity, payment terms, warranty) are managed in the local QuoteCheck workspace and browser database, not as columns in the TSV input file. This prevents flattening complex review states into simple spreadsheet rows.

Before you compare

For step-by-step guidance on aligning requirements and handling exclusions, read our guide on comparing supplier quotes.

  1. Define required quantities, units and specifications.
  2. Keep the original unit labels. Confirm each carton or kit relationship.
  3. Identify installation, delivery and tax as included, separately quoted, excluded, pending or unspecified.
  4. Separate quote-wide fees from item rows.
  5. Review each row amount and the supplier-stated subtotal on the same basis.

Once your lines are structured, paste them into the supplier quote comparison tool to review totals and flags locally. Negative discounts require an explicit discount type in the import preview. Do not allocate kit prices to components without supplier evidence.

The downloadable asset is a TSV template, not an XLSX template. Open it in Excel or paste it into the workspace. The application can export an XLSX report with separate supplier-question and commercial-term sheets; keep that report distinct from the input template.
